HIMSS NCA is pleased to offer a live webinar focusing on public health informatics and its application and plans for modernization that DC Health has for the future. Given its unique situation, the District of Columbia is extremely focused on interoperability and data sharing with its neighboring states. This critical dependency of the District on its neighbors for the exchange of data across political boundaries has made DC a leader in many aspects of public health informatics. Moderated by John Robison, Chief Medical Informatics Officer of the District of Columbia, register for this webinar to understand the context faced by public health officials and how the use informatics, data analysis and rely on partner such as DC CRISP to meet their mission requirements.

Ms. Stephanie Brown
DC President & Executive Director, CRISP
Ms. Stephanie Brown, MPH, ML, CRISP DC President & Executive Director leads digital health initiatives that enable the coordination of whole person care for District residents. She holds a Master of Public Health and a Master in Law from the University of Pennsylvania and is currently pursuing her DrPH from Tulane University. In previous positions, Stephanie focused on addressing health disparities through behavioral economics frameworks and data driven process improvement using IT solutions. She has expertise in several types of healthcare settings: state Medicaid offices, hospital systems, private practices, local health departments and non-profits. As an employee embedded in the health care practices, Stephanie led program development in accordance with Accountable Care Organization and Patient Centered Medical Home guidelines.

Mr. Santiago Gonzalez-Irizarry
Data Modernization Lead, DC Department of Health
Santiago Gonzalez-Irizarry, MPH, leads data modernization initiatives at DC Health, where he serves as a strategic bridge between information technology and public health informatics to transform how data informs policy and practice. He holds a Master of Public Health from Columbia University’s Mailman School of Public Health and has a robust background in managing public health programs, emergency response operations, and organizational change. His work advances interoperability, analytics, and scalable systems that improve data accessibility and quality. Santiago is passionate about modernizing health information systems by leveraging technology, public/private partnerships, and data-driven strategies to advance health equity.
